...and welcome to my homepage!

My name is Rose-Marie Häremo and I live in Malung - Dalarna (Sweden).

I have breed Shih-tzu since 1976 (with 23 litters as a result) and Shar Pei since 1996 (3 litters since then).
My kennel is a small one and in a home environment. The dogs are my family and live by my side 24 hours a day. Sometimes it's a little bit crowded in the TV-sofa or in the bed, but that's the way we live! The dogs are my life and my happiness.

The aim is, and have always been, to breed healthy and nice family dogs, but this doesn't mean, that the dogs could not be successful in the show-rings.

I am glad and thankful, during my years as a breeder, to have found such wonderful buyers to my puppies, who have been taking so good care of my "babies". And buyers, who are satisfied, are the best advertisement. They have inspired me to continue.

Right now, there are 4 Shar Pei and 3 Shih-tzus, own by me - but during this year, it's going to be expanded with another Shar Pei.

I'm proud to present my dogs, who have grown up with a lot of love and with the breed standard as a model.

Being loved by a Shar Pei is a very special feeling, it can't be described in words. It has to be experienced! These wonderful dogs are totally devoted as a life partner, who can give (and take) lots of love.
I do understand those people, who compare Shar Pei with potato chips - you can't get enough of them!

I hope you'll like my dogs and don't hesitate to ask me any questions.
I'll be glad to answer any questions.

MY HISTORY

In 1973 I saw, for the first time, a picture of a Shar Pei puppie. This picture got stucked in my mind and my wish was to own one by myself in the future.

In the winter of 1995, the news reached me about Shar Pei's legacy in Sweden. I got an address from the Swedish Kennel Association/Club to the Nesse family. They already had the Shar Pei dog here in Sweden. I contacted them and they told me that I was welcome to visit them and meet Gino - the dog! My dreams since 20 years, became reality at last. To meet this dog was beyond my wildest imaginations! A wonderful dog with a marvellous charisma. I was thrilled! This dog - Gino - was the first Shar Pei that I had met...and there was no return....

I had the luck to get in touch with Mallinwood Kennels in Cambridge - UK. They had an eight weeks old female puppie, who I became the owner of. This dog is my Peja! It can't be described in words what I felt when she arrived at Arlanda Airport and when I saw her sitting terrified in the cage, after the flight. She stole my heart from that moment. She was so beautiful and she was MINE! Later it even showed up that she was not only beautiful - she is also the most loving Shar Pei you can imagine! And thanks to Mallinwood Polly Pocket, which is her real name, I got an excellent start with my breed of Shar Pei. She was the first one - but not the last....

Another female, Debbie, from the China House in Denmark, did also become mine. She arrived to my home in August 1996 and she was also a faithful and loving Shar Pei.

My third dog, Alladin, was not planned. I couldn't resist the opportunity to keep this handsome guy! He is Gino's son, breed by Sharness Kennel in Årjäng. I thought he would be an excellent mate for Peja. I kept one male puppie (LilleMan) from that first litter and one male (Herman) from the second litter too - and that's the way it is...and my thoughts bring me back to the resemblance between potato-chips and the Shar Pei dog....
